Hello, I purchased 2 D500 kits in 2017. I did not have a chance to use them in 2018 but upon trying the units this year, one of the external microphones is no longer working. Do you do any troubleshooting or service on these or is it even possible that the problem can be solved through repair? Thank you,
The D500x is rather easy to troubleshoot because of the instant dB readout on the menu screen. If the mic does not respond to finger scratching on the "ready" menu of the D500x dB bar graph, eliminate the cable by plugging the mic directly into the detector chassis. Be sure it is completely seated. Since you have two D500x, try the onther unit, etc. swap mics around to determine indeed the one mic will not respond when plugged directly into the unit without cable. If this is the case consider sending to BCM for verification or to Pettersson for warranty replacement.
